One of the few things I dislike about the warmer weather is that we get ants in our house. The houses around us seem to have the same issue. They come in under the windowsill in our lounge room and they drive me batty.
In the past I have used a spray to get rid of them, albeit temporarily. They seem to come back in full force. We try and treat the source outside too by spraying and using ant sand but nothing seems to keep them at bay in our home.
RAID have brought out the Raid Automatic Advanced Odourless Insect Control System that I am excited to be trying.
What interests me about Raid Automatic is that it contains a natural ingredient called pyrethrins which is extracted from the chrysanthemum daisy. Even a small amount of this is supposed to kill most common insects.
I also like that it’s an automatic system, so I don’t have to wait until I see the ants to remember to spray. The system has two timers settings which allow you to choose whether you want it sprayed every 12 or 24 hours depending on how prevalent the insects are.
Having a fine ‘micro-mist’ spray will help it spread quickly. If you’re like me, I tend to over spray (especially if I see a cockroach). Thankfully the ‘dose’ is measured and will prevent my over zealous use.
I challenge Raid Automatic to help control my ant problems. Stay tuned to see how it goes.
In the meantime, you have the opportunity to win one of three Raid Automatic Odourless Insect Control Units and join in the challenge with me.
