{Giveaway} Raid Automatic Insect Control System Challenge

One of the few things I dislike about the warmer weather is that we get ants in our house. The houses around us seem to have the same issue. They come in under the windowsill in our lounge room and they drive me batty.

In the past I have used a spray to get rid of them, albeit temporarily. They seem to come back in full force. We try and treat the source outside too by spraying and using ant sand but nothing seems to keep them at bay in our home.

RAID have brought out the Raid Automatic Advanced Odourless Insect Control System that I am excited to be trying.

What interests me about Raid Automatic is that it contains a natural ingredient called pyrethrins which is extracted from the chrysanthemum daisy. Even a small amount of this is supposed to kill most common insects.

I also like that it’s an automatic system, so I don’t have to wait until I see the ants to remember to spray. The system has two timers settings which allow you to choose whether you want it sprayed every 12 or 24 hours depending on how prevalent the insects are.

Having a fine ‘micro-mist’ spray will help it spread quickly. If you’re like me, I tend to over spray (especially if I see a cockroach). Thankfully the ‘dose’ is measured and will prevent my over zealous use.

I challenge Raid Automatic to help control my ant problems. Stay tuned to see how it goes.

In the meantime, you have the opportunity to win one of three Raid Automatic Odourless Insect Control Units and join in the challenge with me.

Yes please! I’m putting my hand up for this one, it’s nearly blowfly season and we already have mossies the size of fighter jets! It would be nice to have this to do the spraying for me :)

white tip spiders worry me the most, after my husband got bitten by one and now has a massive crater in his leg, scares me to death that one of the kids will get bitten.

  3. Marcia Coventry says:

Cockroaches, I’m beginning to regret using bark in the garden. They seem to love living in it. But sneak into the house from time to time too!

  4. Benjamin Travia says:

Spiders. I’ve experienced unfortunate encounters with them on several occasions. Once I was drifting off to sleep and felt something on my hand: spider. Another time I was reading and felt a tickle on my leg: spider.

  5. Sonya Blyton says:

Arhhh the Red Back Spider, I was bitten when I was 8 yrs old and they have been in my nightmares ever since, I haven’t been so scared in my life other then when I see one… I start sweating, breathing fast, shake. It is not the nicest feeling :’(

  6. Di says:

Cockroaches, and not because they’re creepy or crawly but because I’m allergic to them! Of all the things to be allergic to!!

  7. DIANA O says:

Spiders. Generally they don’t faze me, but I heard a long time ago that apparently everyone swallows eight spiders in their lifetime (they climb into our mouths while we’re sleeping, and we gulp them down). I don’t know if it’s true or not, but it bothers me on so many levels, especially the though of a huge hairy huntsman in my mouth as I snooze. Ewwwwww ;(

  8. Helga Grenkowitz says:

Definitely spiders; all of them. They have just to many legs. And they are not just crawling on the ground but hanging down from nowhere :)

  9. Julia Mason says:

I really hate Cockroaches, because they fly in, and get in the worst places, and they make me feel sick, I want a clean home for myself, and my kids!

  10. QueenB says:

ANY type of spider but specifically white tip spiders. I was bitten by one last year on my leg and it was a horrible red/purple/blue shade for a LONG time and it kind of left a scar where I itched it so bad. I’m petrified miss 4 is going to be bitten by one :(

  11. Nicole White says:

OMG ~ SPIDERS! I loathe spiders and mosquito’s too! A spider (huntsman) bit me on the bottom just recently…I ran screaming to MM and told him what just occurred and his response – “Is the spider alright dear?”….. LOL :o

  12. Michelle says:

No more spiders in the middle of the night!
No more cupboard insects giving me a fright!

OOOH RAID! Please come to my aid?

  13. SANDY HORSFALL says:

FOR ME IT’S MORE THE SLITHERING, SLIDING TYPE RATHER THAN THE CREEPY CRAWLY ONES. SNAKES!! CAN’T STAND, TERRIFIED BY THEM AND THEY SIMPLY HAVE TO GO. AT ONE HOME WE LIVED IN, I PRETTY MUCH HAD THE LOCAL SNAKE CATCHER ON SPEED DIAL!! UNFORTUNATELY, NOT EVEN RAID CAN HELP WITH THESE!!
