Lately, we are having a difficult time getting Dora to take a bath. The mere mention on the ‘b’ word will start diversion tactics like asking for her nappy to be changed and pjs to be put on. Obviously, as a busy 2.5 year old, she needs a bath so we have to practically do a song and dance with the hope of distracting her enough to dunk her in and give her a wash over. Exhausting.
At a party we went to last weekend, we saw a brilliant product filling a sand and water table. Initially, I thought it was ice but I was told to go and stick my hand in it. To my surprise, it was delightfully squishy jelly: a product called Gelli Baff.
Dora loved this sensory activity so much that jumping castles, face painting and fairies could not distract her. Hubby and I both left saying ‘We need to try that in the bath!’
The cool thing is, when they’ve finished playing with the jelly, you sprinkle a salt sachet over the top and it turns back to water! Clever!
So our next endeavour is to purchase some of this cool stuff and test it out in the bath. We’ll try anything to make bath time more enjoyable for Dora again.
* This is not a sponsored post – I just had to share this cool product.
Show her some love and pop over to True Blue Baking and say g’day!
