Totally Pinworthy Cakes
I became very aware during the preparations for Dora’s first birthday party, that I was way out of my depth when it came to cake decorating.
I am constantly inspired by the creations that flash before me on Pinterest. Here is a collection of cakes that one day I would love to master (but will just admire in the meantime). What’s your favourite?

September 18, 2012 at 12:02 am (248 days ago)It’s a tie between the rainbow cake and the elmo cake. I’ve made some decent attempts at cake decorating, it just takes a lot of planning and creativity! You should give it a try!
just stopped by from the Blog Hop.

September 21, 2012 at 12:33 pm (245 days ago)Hi- visiting via Dr Bron’s linky. That top cake looks amazing, but would be HORRIBLE to make. All those stripes around are that pre-made soft icing you buy in a tub and then have to knead and mix food dye into, and then cut up and roll into lengths to wrap around the cake. I have made a much simpler cake with just six fat rolls of this stuff around, and it was so hard to get the colour looking good and get the rolls nice and even!
So I will NEVER make this cake.
Looks good though.
